Chillicothe VA Medical Center
We say "Thank You Veterans"
Every February, VA throws a party for the thousands of Veterans who are cared for every day in VA medical centers, outpatient clinics, domiciliaries, and nursing homes. It’s National Salute to Veteran Patients Week and it’s your opportunity to say thank you to this special group of men and women.
“The National Salute to Veteran Patients is a wonderful opportunity for patriotic Americans to show their appreciation for Veterans. I challenge everyone to make this National Salute the start of a commitment to honor Veterans by volunteering at a VA Medical Center and offering their own personal touch to serving those who served us first.”
--- Sabrina C. Clark, Ph.D., Director

COVID may change how we do things, but National Salute to Veterans Week will go on at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center. Nutrition and Food Service started the week with Red Velvet Cake on Valentines Day. The rest of the week will be celebrated with crafts, goody bags, ice cream socials, gifts, canteen books, bingo, a pizza party, and the week will have a finale of a boxed lunch from Subway. All of these activities are made possible by the dedicated volunteers that make the Chillicothe VA Medical Center a home for our Veterans. For more information on how you can become involved, please call 740-773-1141 extension 7420.
